After an almost missed connection for Steve with winds at Newark, we arrived in Lisbon at 8am this morning.
But wait, I saw for the first time, the skyline of NewYork City, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building! I sure felt like the little girl from Appalachia seeing the Big Apple!!

I arrived at Newark at 5:40 and Steve's plane was delayed and he didn't arrive until after 7:45 and then there was a line of planes waiting to offload and our connection to Lisbon was scheduled to leave at 8:10. After everyone had boarded and still no Steve, he made it in the nick of time thanks to the sweet ladies at the boarding desk who whisked him in at the last minute!! Here he is on the shuttle from the plane to the passport desk at Lisbon airport.
Steve--he slept on the plane--I didn't. I'm feeling it now!
